My name is Marko. By profession, I am a historian, but my eyes have always been fixed on the future as much as the past. Since I was a child, I dreamed of owning a telescope and exploring the final frontier. In fact, back then, whenever someone asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up, my answer was always the same: "I want to be the first human to set foot on Mars."
While I might not be walking on the Red Planet (yet!), I’ve found my own way to reach the stars. It all started with my first 70mm refractor telescope and a pair of 7x50 binoculars. Today, my passion has grown into a constant journey of discovery—whether I'm adding a new eyepiece to my kit, diving into a new astronomy book, or testing out a different telescope.
On this blog, I’ve gathered everything I’ve learned. Some articles are primary sources—my personal first-hand tests and observations—while others are what we historians call secondary sources: deep research and curated information from across the astronomical community. Whether it's a first-hand review or a researched guide, my goal is to make your journey through the stars a little clearer. I am truly glad to have you here on this small portal to the cosmos.
Clear skies,
Marko
